Important Notice to Canberra customers using Morisset Street bus stops – temporary closure next three nights. Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council is resurfacing the road on Morisset Street in Queanbeyan. As a result, some bus stops and part of the bus interchange will be closed overnight between December 10 and 12, 2025.
Dates: Wednesday 10 – Friday 12 December 2025
Times: 7:00pm to 6:00am each night
Please note: All work is subject to weather conditions.
Where:
– Morisset Street between Crawford Street and Carinya Street
– Queanbeyan Bus Interchange (bay changes and alternate entry point)
What is changing:
– The Riverside and Kmart bus stops on Morisset Street between Crawford Street and Carinya Street will be closed during these times.
– Bay 1 will be inaccessible to our buses.
– All services that normally use Bay 1 will use Bay 2 instead.
– Normal entry to the bus interchange will change. Buses will enter the interchange from Collett Street.
What you should do:
– If you are looking to board the bus at Riverside, please make your way to the interchange Bay 2.
– Go to Bay 2 if you normally use Bay 1.
– Use bus stops outside the work area on nearby streets.
– Allow extra time to walk to a different stop or bay.
– Follow signs and listen to instructions from bus drivers and traffic staff.
